Amongst the most common reasons given as the major hurdle to pursuing a career in Information Technology is the cost of training. Some training packages can cost tens of thousands of dollars and many people are not in a position to invest that sort of money no matter how good the training course and job prospects. Although training can cost as little as tens of dollars for study books, or hundreds of dollars for hours of video this investment can be overwhelming.

 

But entry into the industry is not impossible if your wallet is light on funds. Consider that the Information Technology industry is a grouping of many fields without regulatory bodies. This wide variety of required skills and abilities gives would be professionals many options. One pathway can lead to another and so a career can be crafted from any number of different starting points.

 

But it is also true to say that even entry level starting points require specific skills. Acquiring those skills takes more time without proper funding, and in order to reduce that time the following strategies can be adopted:

 

Don’t shoot in the dark. Do not try to learn a little about lots of things in the hope that something will work for you to kick off your career.
Study, learn and understand entry level job descriptions before you decide on a field of choice. This way you will understand what is expected of you in terms of knowledge, and just as importantly, what is not expected. This will save you a lot of time and help you focus on the right material.
Research jobs. Just like buying a house, you should look over prospective jobs a long time before you are ready to apply. You will begin to notice trends in skills requirements and training.

 

Once you are clear on an entry pathway for your career it is time to get down to business. Studying and learning your chosen trade. Remember, your skills profile should be clear at this stage and your focus on the one type of job. Developing your skills without money is a tough ask, but it should be a lot easier now that you know exactly what to study. Here are some suggestions on free ways to develop specific fields.

 

The Internet – learn the basics and find different examples and points of view for each topic you need to learn.
Home projects – If your selected field is a Computer Technician you may be able to double your home computer as a guinea pig. Just make sure you know what you are doing first!
Work experience – by far the best training that you will get without spending money. It’s a great opportunity to learn from current professionals and make some contacts along the way.
Libraries – great source of information. You may even be able to find a book for each topic you wish to skill up.
Memberships – joining mailing lists and newsletters related to your field of choice can be a great way to stay up to date.

 

So how will all these things help you begin your career? Ultimately your tasks will be to convince the employer that you have developed the required skills. By keeping notes of your activities around the development of each skill you will be able to demonstrate competence. But don’t kid yourself, receiving a few emails on a subject and using that as evidence of skills will not cut it. Use many different sources to demonstrate your knowledge. Here is an example of skills development for a computer technician.

 

- Studied i386 computer architecture using BookX and BookY.

- Replaced and upgraded motherboard at home and video card for family member.

- Downloaded and installed drivers for new motherboard.

- Assisted local school computer department for 2 weeks. Replaced 25 computers during that time and helped to troubleshoot others.

- Actively participated in computer hardware mailing group.

 

As you can see, this training is specific to one field and it produces mounting evidence on the same subject to produce a convincing argument for your talent.

How would we cope without Technology?

These days technology plays an integral part in our everyday lives. We use alarm clocks to wake us up in the mornings, heating systems to have a hot shower, transport to get to work, computers at work, watch television in the evening, and use ovens or microwaves for many of our meals. So how would we cope without all this technology?

Communication is a key human need, and technology is often used to communicate. Telephones, mobile phones, VoIP, and emails are used as forms of communications. A recent study in Italy highlighted how much we have come to rely on communication technology. The study deprived 300 people of their mobile phones for a week so see how they would cope. One in six said they experienced a loss of appetite, and 25% said they lost confidence resulting in sexual problems. This seems a little extreme but gives a flavour on how we’ve come to “need” technology.

It is especially young people who use mobile phones extensively. Text messaging has become extremely popular, and one of the most common forms of communicating. People, and especially children, use them as a safety net and concerned parents want their children to own a mobile phone just in case.

Families typically live further apart now than previously. Many have relatives not just across the country, but across the world. Therefore the only way to communicate with them is through technology. You can’t just pop in for a cup of tea.

Business is the area where technology probably has the biggest influence. Communication is again a large part of this, and email has taken over as possibly the most important form of communication in the business world. Without it processes would have to change dramatically. Many businesses are now global which makes this even more important. You can’t just arrange a quick meeting. This has made video conferencing and conference calls more common. Because of the worldwide nature of business, suppliers and customers can be anywhere.  Many businesses have also become reliant on the internet. Some operate exclusively online, by selling things via internet and email, and these businesses simply wouldn’t survive without it. There are also sectors, such as Web Design, that only exist because of the internet. All businesses are expected to have a website, and no internet would hurt many. Research is also mostly done online.

It is not just business that is reliant on the internet for research; it also used personally and by schools. It has taken over from libraries as the main form of research. People have become used to using the internet to find information instantaneously and therefore would not be happy using alternative methods. As with many things it is more of a convenience than a need, and it would seem difficult without it.

Cars and other transport are a major technology used by many. Most people no longer work locally to where they live, so they can’t just walk down the road to work. Therefore cars are needed, especially for those who live or work in areas without good transport links. The way society has changed, without a shop on every corner, also means it is necessary to drive to many other places. Again the fact that families don’t all live locally means that transport is used to visit them. Without transport people would have to move to be able to work.

We also use technology for pleasure and entertainment, for example televisions and radios. We would therefore have to revert back to playing games and improvising. There is nothing wrong with this, but many would miss what we have now.

With many of today’s technology it is not a matter of not being able to cope without it, just that we would have to change the ways in which we live. We would obviously miss what we have now, but would eventually get used to it. It would, though, no doubt have a massive effect on our everyday lives. The area that would be affected most would be business. Some businesses would no longer be able to survive, while others would have to adjust or become more localised.

If we believe in Shakespeare’s these lines, and are real at present situation, then there could be no reason to write this article. However, for today’s world, where even there is no reason to fight, but still they quarrel, this is must for them.

When the word “Religion” slaps the eardrum, most of the peoples think of some traditions, odd styles, myths and something called the “restrictions”. On next step, “Science” is the world of discoveries, researches, amazing facts and knowledgeable findings & thoughts. There are also some peoples who bold the science, and restrict to the religions. Some youngsters even evade their grandparents as they think the religion as a fable which is just for old peoples regarding big books (epics).

If we consider the religion as the whole & truth, then we may define the science as, “the right path in search of the truth “(i.e., religion).

It was a diamond achievement for the science to discover an “Atom” and also when they discovered 36,450 micro-organisms in a single drop of water. Science also proved the fact that “Trees are living beings”, Which though do not have the red blood like us, still called “immovable living beings”, and have their own unique systems just like us. Science also attends “health & diet” relationship and consults to daylight meal. Scientific views on night meal (dinner) says that “ultraviolet” (UV) and infrared (IR) radiations which are emitted during day time are more physiochemically active (research by W. Writer in 1801) and is the reason for the trees to prepare their food only during day time and ever human beings are more active during day time. This is also the reason for none or less production of micro-organisms; even insects do not come out in day light, While they are free to move anywhere at night. That’s why night eating may affect our health & body system besides killing uncountable micro-organisms. UV and IR rays get inactive before & after 48 min. of sunset & sunrise respectively. After reading such on science achievements one may feel haughty but here I flashed same topics with religious views.

Jain epics say that there are uncountable micro-organisms in a single drop of water, and they recommend for purification of water with different methods.

Epics also focus on atom, and in more & more depth.

Religion much more talks about day meals, and has given extraordinary and supreme views on so.

On conclusion, there is much more written in epics, and science is trying to reach it so that peoples will ultimately believe the religion.

After reading this no one should feel arrogant of their religion, as science is the only way to lighten it. Indirectly, only the science is helping to prove the right existence of religions. Moreover religion & science give equal values for meditation, non-violence & peace. So why there is always quarrel between science & religion.

We usually put debates on “science or religion-which is great?” which may result in the diversion of people’s minds from either one depending upon winners.

Instead of this topic, it is better to put “Brotherhood between science & religious” how to reach religion through science. kinds of topics so that it would put our step forward in search of the truth.
