How Business Communications Technology Can Help You Improve Your Orders Accuracy
If you are in the restaurant business and getting orders accurately from customers is a problem for you, there’s help. Many times, orders given over the phone by the customer might be taken down inaccurately, which of course results in wasted time, money and effort, not to mention customer dissatisfaction.
However, there’s a new way to make sure that your orders are received accurately, so that there are no mistakes. This can improve your bottom line, and your employees’ efficiency, too.
An SMS Printer is a small and compact unit, that can be placed anywhere you need it, such as in a restaurant kitchen or by the drive out window. Because it works on the GSM network just like a mobile phone does, you don’t need a telephone line or an Internet connection to use it, you can place it literally anywhere there is a power socket.
How does it work? Customers can simply send text messages via their cell phones to the SMS Printer at the restaurant they call. No more getting orders wrong, because what you see is exactly what the customer sent. Better yet, the SMS Printer prints the messages on paper similar to that used by a fax machine, so there’s no difficulty with discerning messages from someone’s handwriting.
You can use SMS Printer on your website, too.
If you wish, you can also use the SMS Printer as an interface between kitchen staff and the restaurant website. This is especially useful because customers can place and pay for orders on your website; the site can then forward the order to your SMS Printer whatever you decide to place it, and messages will be directly printed out from your website. Your staff can then take these paper “text messages” and use them to fulfil orders.
No mistakes, no delays
As stated previously, there’s no way your staff can misunderstand an order which would result in delays or mistakes as might be done with verbal communication. Because the order is fulfilled directly from the customer’s information, the order comes exactly as it is meant to be filled.
It’s faster, too
It’s also faster to fill orders through SMS Printer. Because customers’ messages can be transmitted almost instantly through the same venues the Internet and mobile phones do, you get them almost instantly. And it’s more convenient for customers because they don’t have to pick the phone up, call, take time carefully explaining their order, will be put on hold until your business’ representative handles a previous customer. Instead, everything is done nearly instantaneously, quickly, and to the customer’s exact specifications. All they have to do is visit your website (or call via text message, as applicable), place the order, and wait for it to arrive, or be told when they can come and pick it up.
There’ll be no paper messages flying hither and yon, either
In case you think even paper messages might get lost in the shuffle if you have a particularly busy moment, the SMS Printer lets you control when you print text messages. It also has an indicator that tells you that you have a message or messages waiting.
It lets you control how you print text messages, too. You can use a standard SIM card (purchased at almost any retail outlet that sells mobile phones), the same as are used in mobile phones.
Why not give SMS Printer a try? You’ll streamline your business and boost your bottom line, too.
Save Your Company A Fortune In Manager Meeting Expenses By Using Modern Communications Technology
If you work at a business where managers from different geographic locations meet on a regular basis, you could save your company a fortune in travel costs by using a really ingenious technology that you probably don’t know about. The technology I am talking about is modern conference call technology.
Companies are spending a fortune sending managers from one location to another to meet regularly with executives and also other managers. This is an extremely costly process. Not only do you have to consider the out of pocket costs of all that traveling, but you also need to consider the opportunity cost of those meetings as well. All of that time that these managers and executives are spending at airports, waiting in lines for rental cars, recovering lost luggage, checking into hotels, etc. could be time better spent on business matters that provide value to the company. They could be looking over reports, managing employees or talking with customers. Wouldn’t you agree that these tasks are more beneficial than having that person away for a day or two while he is traveling?
In case you haven’t caught up on things recently, there are ways that you can accomplish those meetings without taking your manager out of town, without wasting all that travel time and without wasting all of that money. You could start holding those less than vital meetings over the telephone or over the computer. The technology to do this has been around for a good long time, but it is still under-utilized.
These teleconferencing services have improved dramatically over the years by incorporating the internet as part of their service. You can collaborate on projects by showing Power Point presentations over the internet while you are conducting your meeting. You can even record the whole thing so that if one person wasn’t able to attend the meeting, that person can view the meeting after the fact according to their own schedule. How is that compared to the system you are using right now?
The other major advantage is the flexibility of it all. If you need to call an emergency meeting to respond to some major event, this kind of service gives you that opportunity without having to book a bunch of last minute flights. Instead of making twenty different phone calls to twenty different people, you can deliver your message to them all at once. This is far superior to email. We all know how hard it is to get your point across properly in an email. Sometimes things are misunderstood. You don’t have that issue when people are having a two way conversation.
With all of the travel headaches you are subject to these days, it makes sense to rethink the way you are doing things. Even if you cannot eliminate the face to face meetings entirely, you can probably reduce the number of them substantially. The best part is that a really reliable conference call service is also exceptionally affordable. You do not have to pay hundreds of dollars. These things cost peanuts compared to most business expenses. In fact, it might cost less than your office’s water coolers.
Technology like this was invented to make companies more productive. You and I both know that productivity drives profitability. At your next company meeting, bring up the idea of conducting some of your future meetings using the teleconference method instead. You will probably find that pretty much everyone agrees it is a better use of their time.
The New Microwave Communications Technology Development And Universal Transmitter
As the transmission medium, Microwave With other means of communication can not match advantage. Microwave relay communication system, as well as the existing microwave Broadband Communication systems are already commercial systems. From the communication system uses the channel transmission frequency of view, there are microwave communication system Satellite Communication systems, terrestrial microwave relay communication systems, local multipoint distribution access system (LMDS) systems. The microwave communication systems are basically the same transmitter structure, will discuss the common techniques of microwave transmitters. About
microwave Microwave is the frequency of electromagnetic waves in the 300MHz ~ 300GHz, corresponding to a wavelength of 1m ~ 1km, the same communication speed and the speed of light. Industrial microwave equipment currently used in microwave frequency is 2450MHz and 915MHz two. In the industrial microwave devices, microwave absorptive characteristics mainly, penetrating and reflective. Microwave can be absorbed by the medium polar molecules, and microwave energy into heat energy, that microwave heating effect on polar molecules. When applied to the medium frequencies up to 2450MHz microwave electric field, the electric field change the direction of 2.45 billion times per second, polar molecules will subsequently swing 2.45 billion times. Swing by the elements of this molecule force asked the interference and obstruction caused by heat, formation of macro-heating, the medium temperature also will rise. Water is a typical polar molecule, it can be used on the water content of materials by microwave drying. Microbial cells are formed by the polar molecule. Microwave heating effect on the microorganisms not only, but also has biological effects, so that loss of biological activity of microbial cell death. Therefore, the microwave can kill food, medicine or other material of bacteria, insects and eggs. Microwave can penetrate the insulating material (such as ceramics, glass, paper, plastic, etc.), metal faced will be reflected.
Microwave has the following main features.
microwave can penetrate the upper ionosphere, the characteristics of the astronomical increase in a “window”, making it possible for radio astronomy research. Meanwhile, the microwave can penetrate the ionosphere, this feature can be used for satellite communications and space communications. On the other hand, it is precisely because the ionospheric microwave can not be reflected, so the ground microwave antenna line of sight communication only within the scope of long-distance microwave relay station relay in communication Xu Yong.
microwave wavelength than macroscopic objects such as buildings, ships, aircraft, missiles, the size is much shorter, so when the microwave beam irradiation to these objects will be a significant reflection. In general, the shorter the wavelength of electromagnetic wave, its propagation characteristics of the closer light. Microwave wave length of this feature, for radar, navigation and communications applications are very important. In addition, the general size of microwave circuits and wavelength can be compared. As the delay effect, propagation characteristics of electromagnetic waves will be clearly shown, making the energy of electromagnetic field distribution in the microwave circuit, forming the so-called “distributed parameter”, which is low frequency electric and magnetic energy were concentrated in the various components in The so-called “lumped parameter” difference of principle.
As the microwave frequency range and greater information capacity, it needs to transmit large amount of information communication can be used as a carrier. Cable communications in the microwave, using Coaxial cable Can send thousands of road calls and a few circuit television, and the advent of optical fiber transmission line capacity and development of a more substantial increase of information; in wireless communications, microwave relay Relay television and to communicate. Satellite communications are working in the microwave frequency band, using the three cross into 120 ° of the geostationary satellites in outer space can the global spread of television.

Marketing Communications Professionals – Customer Communications Technology Brings a New Paradigm in Marketing Agility
Marketing Communications professionals should develop a vision for enterprise marketing communications before rushing into inviting Customer Communications Management Suppliers to demonstrate how their products could help your company.
A new vision has to be developed because marketing communications professionals now have a completely new way of working.
Gone are the days where a companies direct mail and transactional mail need to be separated and handled by different company functions or different suppliers. Gone are the days where large project teams have to be formed to make simple changes to documents. Gone are the days where the task of making a change to corporate positioning are a huge and expensive task and gone are the days of fragmented customer messaging due to disparate customer communications processes.
Companies have always tried to derive a corporate vision for customer communications, a grand plan and a grand scheme to give the markets it serves clarity of brand understanding, but the issue of complexity has always been a barrier to this plan.
Now, the opportunity that unified Customer Communications Management offers is one of fulfillment of vision, of an ability to execute and of an ability to drive business advantage.
It is because of this opportunity to execute that the marketing communications professional should focus on a new vision first and not a rehash of the old version made easier. The scope is now broader.
Now, it is possible to communicate across a diverse set of channels with ease, to deliver coherent meaningful messages into differing market segments but to retain an appeal in each of those segments. It is about the opportunity to interact, to learn and to deliver value, a value that is meaningful to each customer as an individual.
The vision should come back to marketing basics. Segment the market, identify a product, service or overall company appeal and learn to drive value in those communications. It means that a company can drive its brand values in a fashion that is adaptive to changing market conditions.
In doing this, we don’t just communicate differently, we create a new kind of company, a company that is adaptive, that is continuously learning, that delivers its key objectives in a measurable, proven fashion.
Marketing communications professionals have new power in their hands. A way to reach the market that was previously impossible. It is only in very recent years that this has become possible. It means that a product does not have to be marketed with common brand values across different segments. Companies can continue to focus upon core segments but can become much more adaptive to emerging segments, segments in which it would previously have been a very difficult, length and costly environment to compete.
We call this marketing agility, the ability to take reasoned, measured analysis and quickly deliver a response to that analysis, to test the credibility of the analysis and to improve on the next iteration, bringing market segments into focus not on the basis of a hunch or, just a historical analysis (this is important still) but on live events, events to which the changing response can materialise faster than ever before.
This is in our view, a new paradigm for marketers and one whose impacts much be considered carefully before jumping straight into the focus of technology and process decisions – this can come once the vision for the agile marketing communications organisation has been established.
Avoid what you used to do but just a little better, take hold of this new agility, embrace it and define it. This is how Customer Communications Management can be utilised to deliver marketing excellence.

Latest Mobile Communications Technologies
From the heavy cordless phones of the 1980′s to the smart phones of today, cellular phone technology has undergone a incredible change. But have you ever wondered how you can call to your well wisher in the whole world with the usage of a mobile phone? You also have knowledge about the main features such as WAP and GPRS from the cell phone vendors and service providers. But you must aware of what they really mean?
There are numerous mobile technologies. So next time, when you are going to purchase a phone, you should know what technologies it has.
Generations of mobile communications
In the late 1970s, the first generation (1G) of mobile communications was introduced; it was primarily used for voice transfer. Second generation (2G) systems came into existence in the early 1990s and was further developed to 2.5G, which includes high technologies such as TDMA, GSM and CDMA. These technologies were used for voice and data.
The next generation of mobile communications is 3G which delivers data speeds from 384 kbps to 2 Mbps and over wireless interfaces such as GSM, TDMA and CDMA.
Mobile phone access technologies
Frequency division multiple access (FDMA)
The first-generation analog mobile access method; for each call, FDMA uses separate frequencies. For instance, if there are four stations, each will receive their own frequency. So there is no interference between them. It reduces interference, but limits the number of users.
Time division multiple access (TDMA)
TDMA allocates unique time slots to each user within each channel, thus allowing many users to access the radio frequency without anyone’s interference. Each mobile conversation uses only a particular frequency slot of the time.
Code division multiple access (CDMA)
Commercially introduced in 1995 by Qualcomm, CDMA quickly became one of the world’s fastest-growing wireless technologies. 3G CDMA networks provide more capacity for voice traffic with high-speed data capabilities, hence many cellular service providers are now building or upgrading to it.
CDMA is used in both 2G and 3G wireless technologies. Indian Cell operators such as Reliance IndiaMobile, TATA Indicom, BSNL and MTNL’s Garuda all use CDMA2000 technology and its variant CDMA1x.
Global system for mobile communications (GSM)
GSM is now the worldwide standard technology for mobile communications. It is developed on TDMA protocol in Europe. GSM provides a high level of security, globally accepted technology standards and superior sound quality.
For any GSM phone to work, it needs a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM), a card which contains your telephone account information. So, an Indian GSM phone can be used in any part of the world.
Wireless technology platforms
1) GPRS
GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) is an enhancement to GSM technology that integrates GSM and IP technology. GPRS offers to access the Internet at the very high speed. So you can check your email on the move and surf the Web at very high speed. Currently BPL Mobile and Hutch (Orange in Mumbai) offer GPRS services in India.
2) WAP
In this high technology age, people on the move need any-time access to the Net. This is where WAP comes in. It facilitates us to Internet access from cell phones. It is an open standard for wireless protocols that is independent of the service providers. The cell phone must have a WAP browser to display Web content. Now-a-days, cell phones often come equipped with WAP browser and GPRS technology.
WAP and GPRS also enable the user to download games, send mail and even transfer your messages to your PC.
3) EDGE
The new EDGE (Enhanced Data GSM Environment) interface has been developed specifically to meet the bandwidth needs of 3G. This technology is promoted by Ericsson, it also offers high-speed data transfers over GSM networks with just a software upgrade to the handset. EDGE technology allows speeds up to 384 kbps.
Technology Communications – Technology Communications Using Mobile Phone
According to a United Nations’ information the mobile phones contributions worldwide have grown-up to its maximum of 70% from only fewer than 15% by 2002, these means that in every 10 people 7 of them have a mobile handset. Remarkably these trends have come from poor rising countries worldwide. In which, I consider Nokia’s low-priced cell phones have something to do with this mobile phone massive enlargement, looking in how well they struggle even on super low-price China phones. Expressive Nokia, they have the ability and logistics to grip that kind of opposition worldwide. Regardless of mobile phones have extremely loved by peoples, wired home phones have augmented at a slower rate, from 1 billion in 2002 to 1.27 billion in 2009, meaning cellular phones outnumber direct-wired phones in excess of 3:1.
The internet usage from 2002′s 11% have doubled to 23% by 2008, which means in deprived countries there’s about 1 in 20 peoples have internet connections, while in rich countries the broadband services has augment 20% in market infiltration, this internet progression will be led by South Korea which receiving nation-wide Gigabit broadband by 2012. Mobile broadband also contributes with this fast expansion with 3% of people worldwide having it on average, compared to 14% in rich countries. While in Myanmar there’s a cited 90% decline in internet usage due to militaristic government, shutting down internet connections and bloggers jailed for available content. U.N. reports also ranked countries based on their information and technology communications (ICT) developments, that most progressed countries are mostly from Northern Europe, with Sweden tops the new ITU(International Telecommunication Union) ICT improvement index, followed by the Republic of Korea, Denmark, the Netherlands, Iceland, and Norway. Despites some countries are recognized for their ICT advancements like U.S.(which ranked 17th place), Hong Kong at 11th, China at 73rd and India at 118th place, these subsequent countries position is affected by their large populations and poor rustic areas.
These technological developments may lead us for an additional humankind “big step”, making our life easier and suitable. Still we should be cautious enough to handle the responsibility and therefore using this technology in a right way
Technology Communications – Wireless Technology In Communication Technology
Due to the advancement in technology communications everyone among us wants to know more about wireless technology. Why everyone is curious? Most of us use wireless electronic devices like cell phones. In the passionate world of commerce, few businesses are as true to form changeable as retail apparel. In this industry, retailers need to appreciate their customers closely and make obtainable clothing that matches the style of the time every time. Breakdown to do so is not only a gust to the brand but might harshly crash the business’ profitability and prospect feasibility as surplus list will have to be sold at piece value. Nowhere is originality and novelty more closely tangled than in the indecisive world of style.
Such was the confront for PEPPO Fashions Group, an apparel dispenser in Thailand, which manages labels such as Guess, Guess Baby/Kids, Guess Accessory Stores, Mango, Marciano and Castro. It has 12 standalone retail outlets and attendance in 50 department store consignments in the country. “It’s a lengthy and costly work out for us to re-architect our IT network after each shift,” Khisalang says. “Moreover, department stores often run promotional bazaars at central locations, making it difficult for our staff to conduct customer transactions away from their normal in-store counter. This in twist causes discrepancies flanked by the real transactions conducted and the gate that were generated.” As the Group expands, managing the IT operations based on a distributed structural design introduced significant network latency and became prohibitively challenging for a minute team.
This has a negative crash on the resourceful anthology of precise sales data and thus stalled management’s management decisive sales analysis. “Our staff needed to be able to get actual time updates on stockpile availability from our back-end warehouses and head office in Bangkok. Although we had moved from a manual system to bar-coding, we still needed a answer that would allow the staff to record inventory while on the move, in its place of having to revisit to a middle computer terminal to enter data,”
