Let the light pierce through the darkness Close all old accounts, turn a new leaf Re-learn that old lesson of friendship Kill nor be killed, settle for lessening Amidst us of this fossilized hatred

A Closer Look at SEO Technology
Dan Sayble asked:

Webmasters are immersed in the web design and development industry and the term search engine optimization (SEO) is tossed around a lot. This article is designed to elaborate more about SEO technology and how to build better search engine optimization.
Search engine optimization is the term used in technology to define the process in which your website reaches the top of a search engine results query. A brief background of search engines and the Internet show that early engines like InfoSeek, Lycos and AltaVista relied upon software, also called robots or spiders, to seek the content of websites, then report the findings to the search engine database. The results were then ranked according to certain aspects of the database and then listed in order. Problems with this method increased as webmasters used more complicated HTML and Javascript. Google’s robot is a great example of a search engine that kept up with SEO technology and embraced a full understanding of intricate code. Thus, as technical changes occurred on a website, rank improved.
Why It’s Important
It seems as though everyone has a website these days with hopes that theirs will be among the top ranking search results when a search is performed. SEO technology and optimization is vital to an e-commerce website especially, as visitors will not be aware of your products online if they cannot locate your information via a search engine. Webmasters have the task of being an expert in SEO technology and search engine optimization. The amount of attention SEO technology has garnered in the last several years is a testament to its importance and strength in search engines. The failure of SEO technology and search engine optimization can suck the revenue and reputation from an online business by poor execution.
Webmasters are responsible for seeking the best technology for broad search engine optimization and continued management and development. SEO technology analyzes the number of hits to the website, its effectiveness and visibility. In the 1990’s some webmasters were inflating the keywords of websites in order for the websites to rank well. After several advances in technology, banning of SEO companies and SEO conferences, it is now easier for webmasters to properly position their websites using SEO technology and search engine optimization guidelines.
Getting Ranked
There are a number of ways to monitor and improve search engine optimization. To help webmasters filter through search engine optimization, Google has developed guidelines and assistance via a program called Sitemaps. This program helps webmasters diagnose problems and provides detailed reports on visibility.
The search engine optimization tool Alexa is a little known secret in the search engine optimization world. The company who developed this toolbar, Alexa Internet, Inc., is a division of Amazon.com. Alexa is a tool used to rank website traffic against others on the Internet. While other cases of ranking favor higher numbers, it’s favorable to have a low Alexa ranking. The lower the number the more hits, or visits, the website has received. The rankings are based on visits of its Alexa Toolbar for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Netscape.
There are ongoing search engine optimization disputes about rankings and increasing rankings for specific websites. What is known is search engines spider, or crawl, web pages, not websites. Each page counts in terms of quality content, solid linking and well-constructed navigation. These factors will ultimately increase page ranking.
As you may gather, website ranking and search engine optimization is taken very seriously in the SEO technology industry. Ranking correlates to exposure, sales and symbolism. Web designers have moved beyond flooding HTML meta tags with keywords to garner visibility. Search engine optimization is a carefully designed component of SEO technology that involves research, effort and accurate indexing. Proper implementation proves that to be effective if it is taken seriously.

Make Money Through Internet
Creztor Tessel asked:
Make money through internet? Earning a little more cash from the internet is much simpler than some people know. Getting extra money from the internet isn’t hard to do. Understanding how the internet functions and the way people think makes it possible.
People go on the internet because they need information. People are looking for information to solve a problem. Making money on the internet is as basic as giving people the knowledge they are looking for. All you have to do is give them with the answer to what they are looking for. If you can give them useful information about their issue or problem, people are often more than happy to pay you. That is the great thing about the internet. Helping people.
To help a person solve their problems and earn some extra money at the same time, you must make sure people know how to find you. Out of all the places on the net, the majority of people use Google when searching for answers to problems. You will get 90% of your business from people who find you thanks to Google. That’s great because they find you with Google and it costs you nothing and you are literally generating 100% profit on stuff you sell them.
Looking to make money through internet? If you really want to make some money online, you’ll be happy to know that anyone can do it. People go on the internet for knowledge and to make money you just need to give people what they are looking for. Why not start making more cash now?

Yahoo! Site Map -an useful internet marketing tool
Oli Osorhan asked:
A website refers to a compilation of Web pages that can be typically accessed through a software package, commonly known as a Web browser (one example is the HTTP on the Internet). These pages, which are essentially documents that are in the HTML or XHTML format (HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language), are accessed from a ‘common root URL’ – or the website’s homepage (as most people know it). From this homepage, the visitor/Internet user can browse or look through the entire website either with the use of the hyperlinks or the URLs of the different web pages.
Viewed on computers and other devices that are capable of connecting with the Internet (such as PDAs and cellular phones), websites can be grouped into numerous types, depending on their use or the services that they offer. Some of them include the following:
· Archive site – maintains and protects electronic contents that are valuable to the point of extinction.
· Business site – promotes a business or a service.
· Commerce or eCommerce site – offers goods for sale.
· Community site – allows people with related and similar interests to communicate with each other (either through chat or message boards).
· Database site – searches and displays a particular database’s content.
· Development site – provides data and sources that are related to software development and web design, among others.
· Directory site – contains wide-ranging contents that are usually divided into categories and subcategories.
· Download site – allows users to download electronic contents, such as game demos and software.
· Game site – provides a ‘playground’ where people meet and play.
· Information site – contains data or content that have the sole purpose of informing visitors (not for commercial purposes).
· News site – dispenses or distributes news and commentaries (similar to an information site).
· Pornography site – shows pornographic videos and images.
· Search engine site – provides general information and serves as a ‘gateway’ for other sites and resources (can also be a web portal site).
· Shock site – shows images and other materials that aim to offend viewers.
· Vanity site – a personal site that is run or maintained by an individual or a small group, the contents of which can be of any information that the site owner wishes to include.
· Blog site or blogs – registers online readings and posts online diaries or discussion forums.
· Wiki site – allows users to collaboratively edit the contents.
Yahoo! is perhaps the most famous example of a very large website. The most popular and widely-used website, Yahoo! is a mixture of the different types of sites – it is a directory site and a search engine site, among others.
Because of the enormous (and diverse) amount of information that it contains, the Yahoo! site map is an extremely useful feature in the Yahoo! website.
A site map is a web page that lists the entire pages on a web site. Organized in a hierarchical fashion, site maps can be in textual or visual form (a diagram or an image).
http://www.emaeketing.moneybizhome.com
The Yahoo! site map serves as a blueprint for the Yahoo! website. Similar to a book’s Table of Contents, the Yahoo! sitemap makes it easier for visitors or users to find specific information or pages on the Yahoo! web site without having to browse many pages, because the site map gives an overview or a visual outline of the Yahoo! web site, with each location provided with active links to enable the user to directly move to a specific location.
In addition, the Yahoo! site map allows web developers to put out links from across their sites, making it easier for search engine robots (or engine spiders) to find these pages.
Because the Yahoo! site map improves the search engine optimization of a site, this feature can be considered a valuable tool for online marketers, whose aim is to stimulate and direct traffic to their web sites.
Note, however, that the Yahoo! site map can only give you the ‘basics’. Because it is important for web marketers to ‘rank high’ on main search engines, an effective web marketing strategy that promotes your web site is also very much needed. Listed below are some search engine strategies to consider:
1. Write a descriptive page title at the top of your webpage that avoids ‘filler’ words like “the” or “and”.
2. Incorporate descriptive keywords on your home page, along with your business name. This is called “keyword prominence”.
3. Include a Description Meta Tag at the top of the web page. This refers to the sentences (1 or 2 lines, with a maximum of around 255 characters) that describe the content of your web page.
These are just some of the many techniques that you can employ to get more users to visit your website. The important thing is to focus on keywords – and let Yahoo! site map do the rest.

Internet Marketing Keywords
Barb asked:
When doing internet marketing one of the main thing we need to check is the commercial intention a keyword has, we’re talking about weather the keyword has a history of generating sales based on the keywords past performance. The thing about keywords is that some may have a high search volume, but have a poor history of generating sales; this would make those keywords useless as far as selling something is concerned. But keywords that have poor commercial intention may have some value in generating leads for mailing list. These lists could possibly lead to sales over time from your subscriber base.
So when we look at all the criteria that our keywords need to meet, we start to see that it is not always going to be easy to find good keywords. The big question is how we find these keywords. One thing that we can do to make our search for keywords a bit easier is to go for the low hanging fruit, as they say in the internet marketing industry.
What I mean by this is we don’t concentrate on single keyword terms, but rather we look for keyword phrases. Getting back to the example of the cars, instead of my keyword being “cars” it might be “Ford Tempo cars”, this is being a lot more definitive about what I am selling or promoting. This also lowers the competition by using a (longtail) keywords definition.
If I were to use the term “buy Ford Tempo cars” now by adding the word buy into this phrase, I will have a phrase with a higher commercial intention. The fact that the keywords definition is such a long search term lowers the possibility of competition of this phrase. When doing internet marketing good keyword research is the most important aspect of your marketing efforts.
Now to sum this up, when you use a phrase like “buy Ford Tempo cars” this is often referred to as a (longtail) keyword phrase. These longtail have some distinctive characteristics. The longer your keyword phrase means a sharp drop in competition, but greater commercial intention for the phrase. The only bad thing about longtail terms is they always have lower search volume.
Well this covers this segment on keywords definition. In the next article I will discuss how we find those keyword phrases, what free tools are available to help us in our search. We will also look at how you can use Google to do a lot of your keyword research, as well as many other aspects of internet marketing.
